Brian Vaal joined the Evansville IceMen as an assistant coach for the 2008-2009 season. Before arriving to the Icemen, Brian was once the General Manager and Assistant Coach for the University of Southern Indiana Ice Eagles between the 2005-2007 seasons. During his playing career, Vaal posted a 42-27-5 record, with a 3.82 goals against and 89.7 save percentage for the University of Southern Indiana Ice Eagles during the 2001-2005 seasons. During the 2003-2004 season Brian was award 2nd team all conference honors with Great Midwest Collegiate Hockey Conference. On November 14, 2003, Brian recorded his 1000 save against the University of Cincinnati Bearcats. Vaal was born on July 9, 1982 in Limestone, Maine. Brian resides and works for Casino Aztar as a hotel sales and catering manager. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, playing men’s league hockey, and golf. |
