Good Afternoon Maniacs! I just wanted to remind you all that the final home game of the regular season is this Friday the 13th. (Where has the season gone!) It's fan appreciation night and there's a push to set a new attendance record with 1400 fans! So come out and bring a friend, bring lots of them in fact. If you want to start the festivities a little early, meet your fellow Maniacs in the parking lot for a tailgating before the game. We're going to be there by 5 for some fun and food. Brings some food, bring some friends and have a good time. And if you want more hockey this weekend, Maniacs are going on the road to Chi-Town to see the next game in the weekend series. There's a caravan forming at 12n at Swonder with plans to be on the road by 12:30. It's about a 4 1/2 hour trip and a relatively easy drive. So hit the road and support your IceMen! And a final reminder, though this Friday is the final home game of the regular season, playoffs start the weekend after. We won't know until that weekend if there will be a home game or not, but the word will go out as soon as possible to let everyone know. So keep your ears open Maniacs and be prepared to show up to support the IceMen in the playoffs. That's all for today, Dixie

Good Evening Maniacs! Well as most of you probably know by now, the IceMen's season ended Saturday night with their second defeat against the Battle Creek Revolution. While it was a heartbreaking loss it was a fantastic game. The IceMen played their hearts out and have every reason to be proud of how they played and of their season. I know I am. We've got a season ending financial statement available for download here: http://halberium.com/ReportAfter20090325.pdf. All totaled we have taken in $1044.00 and donated $810.00 to the players association. That is an outstanding outcome for seven weeks of work. I'm sure next season will bring even bigger and better things. And just because the season is over, doesn't mean the Maniacs are too! We're going to have events throughout the off season such as bowling, laser tag, Stanley Cup parties and maybe even a trip to an Otters game. Stay tuned for more details. Maniac Memories Chip announced today that he's been working on a book about the IceMen's inaugural season. He's looking for memories and stories from this past year.
