Blizzard

Blizzard, an energetic polar bear and the #1 IceMen Maniac, loves to meet and greet fans of all ages at IceMen home games and other events around the Evansville area. He grew up at the North Pole and came to Evansville after graduating summa cum laude in 2008 from the International Mascot Academy of Fort Armstrong, Newfoundland (IMAFAN). He believes that all IceMen fans are kids at heart, loves making people laugh, and can’t resist giving out “polar bear hugs” to anyone who wants one!

5 QUESTIONS WITH BLIZZARD:

What’s your favorite color?

“IceMen Blue, of course! No, wait, IceMen Silver! I mean, I don’t know. Can I just say both?”

Do you have a “mascot idol” who you look up to?

“Oh yeah. I love the Famous San Diego Chicken. If I can be half the mascot he is, that would be pretty good!”

Any pet peeves?

“Just one – those ‘don’t feed the animals’ signs you see in some parks and at the zoo. C’mon now, what’s the harm in sharing a piece of bread or some popcorn? Animals are people too!”

What do you like to do in your free time?

“Frolic in the piles of snow and ice shavings that the Zamboni produces. Also, I like to watch ‘Animal Planet’ and hockey on TV. And believe it or not, I play a mean game of Scrabble. You might say I’m ‘smarter than the average bear.’”

Finally, what’s your favorite saying or phrase?

“Now that’s an easy one. LET’S GO ICEMEN!”
