Want to have some “major league fun” without shelling out major league bucks? When you come to an IceMen home game, you get a lot more than “just” the hockey game. You get the lovable antics of Blizzard. You get the joyful cheering and smiling faces of the Icicles. You get the occasional youth hockey scrimmage between periods. Plus…
Chuck-A-Puck
That’s right, IceMen fans! Perhaps the hockey world’s most famous intermission contest is BACK in Evansville! The University of Southern Indiana’s Ice Eagles hockey club used to conduct Chuck-A-Puck at Swonder Ice Arena during home games, and it was always loved by the fans and a successful fund-raiser for the team. Now the IceMen have brought the fun of Chuck-A-Puck back to Swonder, so you can rent your numbered puck at any home game for just $1, or rent 7 pucks for 5 bucks. Then when we play the game during the second intermission, “chuck it” onto the ice in an effort to take home some awesome prizes!
Dasher Board Bingo
At any IceMen home game, you can play Dasher Board Bingo for just $1 per Bingo card. Each card features a variety of IceMen sponsors, each representing an advertisement somewhere on the dasher boards. Whenever an IceMen player hits an opponent into a sponsor’s dasher board ad, you can mark off that sponsor on the card. The first person to take a valid “Bingo” to the merchandise table wins an IceMen t-shirt and 2 tickets to the next home game. All fans (not just the first at each game) who take a valid “Bingo” to the merchandise table are entered into an end-of-season drawing for 4 season tickets ($1200 value) for the 2011-2012 IceMen season at Evansville’s New Downtown Arena. Play once or play often – the more you BINGO, the more chances you’ll have to win!
Intermission & Timeout Games
While Chuck-A-Puck will be played at every home game, we’ll still be playing many of your other favorite intermission contests at various times throughout the season as well. Popular contests include the Blindfolded Puck Hunt, Shuffle Puck, Dance For Your Dinner, Air Guitar Hero, and the always-hilarious Frozen T-Shirt Contest. And new this year, we’ve added a few more contests, including IceMen Trivia and IceMen Karaoke. If you’d like to play a particular game, please e-mail Kara Hillstead at khillstead@evansvilleicemen.com and we’ll see if we can hook you up!
