The Evansville IceMen (12-20-3; 27) look to gain ground in the North Division as they face division rival Kalamazoo Wings (13-16-3; 29) on Saturday night. Evansville is coming off an impressive result on Friday night against Orlando and look to build toward similar success against the Wings tonight. Brief Recap: The Evansville IceMen prevailed victorious in their first game of 2013. The IceMen scored four goals in the game’s second period against the Orlando Solar Bears on Friday night at the Ford Center. Evansville trailed 1-0 after the first period before scorching the Solar Bears in the middle frame.

 

IceMen Left Winger Josh Beaulieu accounted for the game-winning goal 12:38 into the second period. Beaulieu’s 14th goal of the season was assisted by IceMen Defenseman Aaron Gens, who carried the puck deep into the Orlando zone before feeding the IceMen leading scored, and Right Winger Trent Vogelhuber. The marker gave the IceMen a 2-1 lead that held the remainder of the game. Beaulieu now has 31 points on the season and was voted the game’s first star.

Brief Recap: The Evansville IceMen maintained their third period lead against the Kalamazoo Wings on Saturday night at the Ford Center. The IceMen were owners of a 4-1 lead with 7:49 remaining in regulation when the Wings scored twice in a matter of 12 seconds, but Evansville ultimately secured their fifth victory in their last six home games.

 

IceMen Right Winger Jason Dale, the game’s first star, tallied the game-winning goal 3:54 in the third period. Dale’s sixth goal of the season was assisted by Right Winger Trent Vogelhuber and Defenseman Jesse Perrin. The second point of the game for Dale gave the IceMen the 4-1 lead.
