The Evansville IceMen (19-30-5; 43) embark on a three-game road trip in Florida, starting with the Orlando Solar Bears (23-26-5; 51) on Wednesday. The IceMen are coming off a two-game sweep of the Ft. Wayne Komets over the weekend and look to match a season-best three game winning streak tonight.The Solar Bears remain in fifth place in the South Division after being the victims of a two-game sweep to South Carolina. Evansville is (1-0-0) against Orlando this season.

Brief Recap: The Evansville IceMen successfully swept arch rival Komets with the help of a three-goal second period at Memorial Coliseum in Ft. Wayne on Saturday night.
The second contest in as many nights between the North Division participants featured more of the same for Evansville. IceMen Right Winger Kevin Baker lead the charge once again, duplicating his previous performance against the Komets with another two-goal game.
Each of Baker’s two goals proved to be vital as the right winger scored the initial IceMen goal of the game, on the power play, 14:03 into the first period, as well as the game-winning goal 13:18 into the second period.
IceMen Goaltender Paul Dainton earned the victory in his sixth consecutive appearance in-net for Evansville. Dainton saved 28-of-30 shots faced on Saturday, earning a .933 save percentage.

Brief Recap: The Evansville IceMen prevailed victorious in their first game of 2013. The IceMen scored four goals in the game’s second period against the Orlando Solar Bears on Friday night at the Ford Center. Evansville trailed 1-0 after the first period before scorching the Solar Bears in the middle frame.
IceMen Left Winger Josh Beaulieu accounted for the game-winning goal 12:38 into the second period. Beaulieu’s 14th goal of the season was assisted by IceMen Defenseman Aaron Gens, who carried the puck deep into the Orlando zone before feeding the IceMen leading scored, and Right Winger Trent Vogelhuber. The marker gave the IceMen a 2-1 lead that held the remainder of the game. Beaulieu now has 30 points on the season and was voted the game’s first star.
Scoring the first goal for the IceMen on Friday night was returning prospect Left Winger Wade MacLeod in his first game back with Evansville since being recalled to the team by AHL Springfield. MacLeod’s fourth goal in three games for the IceMen came 8:22 into the second period and was assisted by IceMen Right Winger Kevin Baker and Center Todd Robinson. The IceMen are now unbeaten in three games that MacLeod has played in.
