The flagship station for Evansville IceMen radio broadcasts is Evansville’s 1400-AM WEOA “The Pump.” The station broadcasts all IceMen home and away games (including pre-season and post-season) in their entirety, a live two-hour weekly show, and daily updates about the team. All broadcasts are also streamed worldwide on the station’s website, 1400amWEOA.com.
Game Broadcasts
WEOA will broadcast every IceMen game during the season, starting with the team’s pre-season games and continuing through all regular season games and (if necessary) into the playoffs. Each game broadcast begins with a 30-minute pre-game show, and a post-game show (generally 15-30 minutes) also follows each broadcast. In addition, most home game post-game shows feature an “IceMen Star of the Game” interview segment.
Note: Due to WEOA’s religious programming commitments, some Sunday afternoon games are aired (in their entirety) on a delay. These broadcasts typically begin with the pre-game show at approximately 5 PM.
“IceMen Live”
WEOA also broadcasts “IceMen Live” which airs every Monday night during the season and once monthly during the off-season. The weekly program airs from 7-9 PM during the season, live in front of an audience at Show-Me’s on Evansville’s east side, near Showplace Cinemas on Morgan Avenue. The broadcast originates from the smoke-free family room, which is open to fans of all ages. “IceMen Live” features IceMen news, player and personnel interviews, special guests, prize giveaways for fans in attendance, and much more. Fans are welcome and encouraged to attend!
The IceMen Hockey Update
Finally, WEOA airs “The IceMen Hockey Update” weekdays at 4:20 PM. The brief 2-3 minute report is produced daily throughout the season, helping fans stay up-to-date even on non-game days. “The IceMen Hockey Update” is available Monday through Friday, starting in October and continuing until the end of the season.
The report can also be heard on four of Townsquare Media’s Evansville stations each afternoon. “The River City Rocker” 103-GBF (103.1 FM) airs “The IceMen Hockey Update” each weekday at 4:45 PM. The report then airs at 4:50 PM on 99.5 WKDQ, “Super Hits” 105.3, and 106.1 “Kiss FM.”
